Meet the Directors

Willoway is directed by Lorraine Fisher, Jonathon Koenigsberg and Jason Rosen. They are joined by a team of veteran educators and camp pros including Sarah Piggott, Tina Pinter, Liz Rosen, and Mike Weiskopf. Together, they form a dynamic leadership team, combining years of practical experience with a youthful outlook and fresh perspectives in the guidance and direction of Willoway.  They are always available -- ready to work together with you in giving your child the best summer ever! 

In Memoriam

We fondly remember Willoway’s founder Arnie Fisher (1930-2024). A teacher, guidance counselor and school administrator with a fierce determination to help children, Arnie built a summer camp that has seen generations of campers learn to swim, try a new sport, and embrace the best versions of themselves during the summer.

Scores of camp counselors learned how to work with children, to leave things better than they found them, and to understand and value the magic of camp.

Thousands of Willoway alumni fondly remember eating “Arnie Burgers” and singing some of Arnie’s trademark songs, including Alouette and Ich bin ein Musikante, at campfires on Thursday overnights.  So many campers, ourselves included, have made lifelong friends because of Arnie and Willoway.

Arnie’s philosophy and impact live on, guiding us to give campers the best summer ever. For us, Arnie has been a consummate mentor – and it’s on his shoulders we stand in helping to continue his legacy.

Meet the Staff

Willoway’s staff is selected for warmth, maturity, ability and enthusiasm. Our staff is comprised of college students and teachers, including international staff members who offer a rich cultural and educational diversity to Willoway.

Extensive pre-camp workshops are held each summer to fully acquaint staff with the philosophy of Willoway Camp and its concern for the growth of its campers. Throughout the summer, in-service training assures the on-going development of our counseling team.

We are excited that each successive summer brings a high percentage of returning staff members to camp.  Additionally, many counselors are former campers themselves.  Their experiences both as veteran counselors and campers combine to add to your child’s summer fun!
